| SeatSnug is the newest CG-Lock technology product targeted to enhance the safety, stability, and comfort of children riding in booster seats. The 3-point seatbelt represents a compromise between safety and comfort, which allows slack to be developed in the lap belt portion while riding in a vehicle. Seatbelt slack is acknowledged in the auto industry as a major contributor of deaths and injuries in vehicular accidents, a problem solved by the innovative CG-Lock technology. Seatbelt slack allows children in booster seats to bounce around, tip and fall over while riding, as well as to submarine under the seatbelt in frontal impact accidents and to eject out of the seatbelt in rollover accidents, resulting in the potential for severe injuries and even death. SeatSnug allows the lap belt to be lightly tightened around a child’s hips by pulling up on the shoulder strap without affecting normal operation of the shoulder strap so the child continues to have free upper body movement. By allowing a child to be safely secured in a booster seat, without the ability for slack to develop, the SeatSnug solves the seatbelt slack problem and will reduce the number of children severely injured or killed in motor vehicle accidents. |
