 Interesting Tidbits
The Zaky was developed by Yamile C. Jackson, who holds a PhD in ergonomics and human factors engineering. In 2001, she gave birth prematurely to a baby who weighed less than 2 pounds and was hospitalized for 5 months. She wished she could cut-off her hand to leave her loving touch, scent, and protection – so she invented the Zaky. She prayed to God to help children if her baby survived, so she is thrilled to work on Zachary’s behalf.

Zachary’s story of survival during Tropical Storm Allison that hit Houston that shut down Memorial Hermann Hospital, including all his life-support machines, was the inspiration of an article in Readers' Digest, a documentary by CBS, and the TNT movie "14 Hours."
