“Milestones and More” was written by a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and mother-of-four who graduated from the University of Southern California in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. With beautiful artwork done by a well-known St. Louis artist named Lisa Ober, the book was researched and compiled by the author and reviewed and edited by experts in each field covered. These included doctors, a nurse practitioner, a sleep specialist, a pediatric dietician and dentist, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and a police officer (for the car seat section). Penny Schneithorst sold 2000 copies in the first year while being a self-published author and a full-time mother. "Milestones and More" has won an Honorable Mention award with the 2007 Writer’s Digest International Self-Published Books Awards.
