Based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Zosephine was born of one woman's search for the perfect everyday bag. Zosephine was named for Maria Winslow's 7 year old daughter, Zoe. Over the years, people have asked what Zoe is short for, so they made up possible names.... Zoestra, Zoella, Zosephine. And Zosephine kind of stuck. It was cute. So it seemed a natural name for the company!
